I am proud to serve in the position of President, beginning July 1, 2023. The division’s mission is “to enhance the quality of life in society for people who have a queer identity and have been historically oppressed by promoting greater awareness and understanding of these experiences among members of the Colorado counseling profession and related helping occupations.”

DBSA-CS aims to improve the lives of people living with mood disorders by “Promoting & supporting wellness for people living with mood disorders, through Peer-based Programs, Education, & Collaborative Partnerships.”

Athlete Ally believes that everyone should have equal access, opportunity, and experience in sports — regardless of your sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression. Our mission is to end homophobia and transphobia in sport and to activate the athletic community to exercise their leadership to champion LGBTQI+ equality. As an ambassador, “I wholeheartedly agree that everyone should have equal access, opportunity, and experience in sports. Further, I believe in the power of sports to be a lens for activism, and through that lens, we can work together for socio-political change regarding LGBTQ+ rights.”

Sports Envoys are recruited by the U.S. Department of State’s Sports Diplomacy Division in the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) in collaboration with American professional sports leagues, the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committees, and national sports federations. Sports envoys serve their country while making a positive difference in the lives of youth and marginalized communities. Sports envoys act as athlete ambassadors, engaging with senior-level foreign officials to advance U.S. foreign policy goals.

As a board member for the LGBTQ+ affinity group for University of Notre Dame alumni, I worked to support institutional change regarding inclusivity of all alumni, regardless of identity.
